It is an unofficial anthem of Cieszyn Silesia, particularly of the Poles in Zaolzie. Its theme is the cultural assimilation of, and loss of national identity by, local Poles. The lyrics are centered on the Olza River, symbol of Cieszyn Silesia and Zaolzie.
